The overwhelming majority of these women are victims of human trafficking. Many arrive in Europe following a horrifying journey across the African continent. Journalist, Zakia Zaki, 35, was one of the most prominent radio journalists in Afghanistan. She was an outspoken advocate for women's rights and media education for women in Afghanistan.
